Find The Right Size In A Few Steps.
Wheel size, frame size, bar height — it can feel like a lot. Use the tabs below to find the right chart for your ride. Still not sure? WhatsApp us and we’ll give you a direct recommendation.
Match your child’s height and age to the right wheel size. When in doubt, go by height — age is only a guide.
| Wheel Size | Rider Height | Approx. Age |
|---|---|---|
| 12″ wheels | 75 – 95 cm | 2 – 4 Years |
| 14″ wheels | 85 – 100 cm | 3 – 5 Years |
| 16″ wheels | 95 – 120 cm | 5 – 7 Years |
| 18″ wheels | 105 – 130 cm | 6 – 8 Years |
| 20″ wheels | 115 – 140 cm | 7 – 10 Years |
| 24″ wheels | 135 – 160 cm | 10+ Years |
- Your child should be able to get on and off the bike easily without help.
- When seated, they should reach the handlebars and pedals without stretching or sliding forward.
- If they’re between sizes, choose the bike they can handle with the most confidence — not just the biggest size.
Most adult bikes list a frame size (S, M, L, XL) or a height range. Use this as your starting point.
- If you’re between two sizes, choose the smaller size for a more upright, relaxed riding position.
- Choose the larger size if you prefer a sportier position with more leg extension.
- Aim for a little standover clearance and the ability to touch the ground with the balls of your feet when seated.
For scooters, focus on bar height and the maximum weight limit listed on the product page.
- Bars around hip to just below waist height usually feel natural and in control.
- If the bars are too high, steering can feel light and awkward. If too low, you’ll be leaning forward too much.
- The rider should stand naturally on the deck with a slight bend in the elbows — balanced and relaxed, not leaning heavily on the bars.
- Always check the maximum rider weight on the product page to make sure the scooter is suitable.
Most ride-ons list a recommended age range and maximum rider weight. Use these as your main guide.
- The rider should be able to climb on and off easily without assistance.
- When seated, they should reach the steering wheel, handlebars or controls comfortably.
- Feet should reach the ground, pedals or footrests without overstretching.
- If choosing between two sizes, pick the one where the rider feels in control today — not the size they’ll grow into.
